A plaque at the Memorial Garden tells the story of the Memorial Spitfire at Grangemouth. The plane is a replica of Mk.1 X4859, it flew into Grangemouth on 15th September 1941. Sergeant Pilot Eugeniusz Lukomski was killed flying it on 24th November 1941.
