A service of remembrance was held in George Square, Glasgow, to commemorate British and Commonwealth war dead on 13 November 2011. Members of the armed forces and ex-service personnel paraded past the Cenotaph.

Polish Day in Edinburgh

On 2 July 2011 a Polish Day was held in St Andrews Square, Edinburgh. The event marked the Presidency of Poland in the European Union. There was music and dance, a photography exhibition and food tasting.

Wojtek the Bear Memorial Unveiled in Edinburgh

On 14 November 2010 a memorial was unveiled to Wotjek the Bear in Edinburgh. Wotjek was a Polish War hero during the Second World War. The event took place as part of the annual remembrance service at the Polish War Memorial in Redbraes Place, Edinburgh.

Polish Airmen Remembered at Newark - All Souls

On 31 October 2010 the annual All Souls ceremony took place at Newark to remember Polish Airmen who gave their lives in the 2nd world war. The service of remembrance was organised by the Polish Air Force Association.
