Tadeusz - A Polish Veteran's Story Of Bomber Command

Tadeusz Wierzbowski (Wier) escaped from Nazi occupied Poland and made his way to Great Britain. There he served as a flying instructor to Polish aircrew in the Royal Air Force. He later went on to join the Polish Bomber 300 Squadron based at RAF Faldingworth, Lincolnshire.

Tadeusz never expected to survive the war as so many bomber aircraft had been shot down. Growing up in Poland he had always wanted to be a pilot. In this video Tadeusz shares his memories of what it was like serving with the Polish 300 Squadron.
