Glasgow Cathedral is dedicated to St Kentigern (St Mungo) who is the patron saint of Glasgow. The cathedral was largely built in the 13th Century. On Remembrance Sunday 2009 the communion table in the presbytery was bedecked with poppies - the symbol of remembrance.
