On 27 June 2009 the first Armed Forces Day took place. Events were held throughout Britain for people to show their support for the military. In Glasgow a parade of veterans and serving military was held in George Square.

Royal British Legion Flags - The flags of the Royal British Legion are displayed in George Square after the parade and service had ended.
